From humble barn beginnings in 1943, the Lancaster Riding Club rose, famed for its horse shows. But financial hurdles prompted a 1965 merger with the Lancaster Tennis Club (est. 1939), forging the Lancaster County Riding and Tennis Club with new courts. The final transformation came in 1986 with a Yacht Club merger, creating today's Lancaster Tennis and Yacht Club and unlocking nationwide yacht club access for members.
